Happiness and Cheer

Sparkle and Shine Challenge has a great inspiration photo.  I stamped the tree onto a tag with Winnie and Walter (sponsor for this Challenge) It's a wonderful Pennant stamp set.  The sentiment is PTI.  The background is made using a stencil and Heidi Swapp Mist in Citron.   Adding to the shine are sequins, PPP sparkling clear 4 mm and a red dollar store sequin.  I added a scrap of green ribbon I had on my desk to balance out the green layer.

SSS Wednesday Challenge is no designer paper so it fits in with that as well.

The mist has a great shine to it.

Peace and Joy

Oh my, shiny cards are hard to photograph!

This week at CASology the cue card is Circles
Bokeh is popular again right now.  I love the look but wanted to put my own spin on it.  I've done it without color!  I randomly stamped 2 sizes from SSS Lots of Dots in VersaMark on white cardstock then brushed on Perfect Pearls.
The PTI sentiment was stamped in black, then that panel was mounted onto silver shimmer cardstock and I was done.  So easy!  Depending how the light catches it you almost can't see any circles, or they look grey or they shine like crazy.
SSS Wednesday Blog is No Designer Paper - I'd say this qualifies since I basically made my own.

Happy Halloween

I have a Halloween card today.  I inked up the largest circle from SSS lots of dots in harvest gold then rolled the edge of the stamp around summer sunrise to get the two-toned effect for the moon.  The spider is from an older Inkadinkadoo set which I set hanging from a thread by simply drawing a line off the edge of the card.  Sentiment is SU and the orange line is from PTI plaid builders set.  I covered the moon in Wink of Stella so it has a nice shimmer in real life.  Here's a confession - this is the very first time I have ever used washi tape on a card!  The black chevron balances out the card perfectly.

Challenges I'm entering this card in:
CASology - cue card moon
City Crafters - feeling flat - the only dimension on this is the washi.
Time Out - make your mark with a twist of monochromatic (my one little pen line may be a stretch, but I'm throwing it in anyway!)

                                                  Take it, it's yours
