Ombre for an Hombre

Make It Monday is a fun one this week - Ombre backgrounds

If you get the colors right they look great and are fairly quick to make.  I used the Sketched Shapes stamps and die with Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Limeade Ice and Harvest Gold inks.

The bottom of the white panel is pretty mangled, my cutting blade was getting dull and starting to shred my paper.  While changing the blade I sliced my finger on the new one!  I was so distracted with the blood and the band-aid that I forgot to trim another sliver of the bottom.  Oh well, it's going to my brother for his birthday and he probably won't notice.

Thanks so much for Looking!

  1. Lovely! (and, good to know that I'm not the only person who has issues with the cutting blades!)
    Thanks for sharing.

  2. This is a fabulous masculine card! Love the ombre effect you created with this stamp.

  3. Great card for your brother, Karen. Love the ombre effect you created with that banner.
PS: Hope the bleeding stopped and your cut was not too bad!

  4. What a great stamp to use with this ombre technique - the card is fabulous!

  5. Terrific card...you are probably so right about your brother not noticing...sorry about your finger!

  6. Sweet card and great ombre effect! Hope your mangled hand doesn't keep you from your paper crafting. ;-)

  7. Lovely card. I think this technique is perfect for masculine cards.sorry to hear about your finger.
