Let it Snow

This weeks Muse Challenge has been rolling around my brain all week.  I love the simple, classic look of the Muse card! You can't get much more basic than stamping and embossing, but it's a timeless look.
I'm also putting this in for  Clean and Simple on Sunday. Where the challenge is to emboss it.

For your blog

I used PTI's Snowflake Flurries stamp set, classic pewter embossing powder and white embossing powder.

Whoa, the color on the second picture sure is wonky!

Happy Halloween

Here's my stab at The Card Concept's Color Challenge.   I think it's Clean and Simple?

Oh, I may as well join in with CASology this week. The cue card is splatter and there is definitely a splatter of orange on this card.

It is definitely quick to make, Sizzix embossing folder on black cardstock.  Top that with a piece of white cardstock spritzed with orange.  Two quick stamps, tear off some corners, add some white gel pen on the teeth to make them pop and it's done!

I wish my teeth were that white.

'Tis The Season

Boy, I didn't realize how long it's been since I posted on my blog!  I was busier than I thought obviously.

Here's my card for the latest challenge at Festive FridayI love the inspiration picture, crisp white with great pops of red and green.

Very simple card... Stamps are PTI with some green and clear gems for some seasonal bling.

Noel

I'm really please with how this turned out!  I love the bright green with the red and white.

I die cut the big star using Wplus9 star dies.  Then I die cut  MFT's Medium Fancy Flourish in vellum.  I did a little surgery and cut off one of the curlycues then coated it with clear Wink of Stella.  The red stars were cut with Paper Smooches stars die.  Noel is from PTI's Think Big Favorites #8, embossed in white.

I'm playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch #92

I'm also going to throw it in for CAS-ology Cue Card Three
It might be a stretch, but it has 3 big stars, 3 little stars and 3 curlycue's with no stars!

AND...I'm going to put it in to Words to Scrap By #9 To Everything there is a Season

Happy Birthday Ang!

This is a birthday card for a VERY special friend!  Her birthday is just a few days away, so I'm hoping she won't actually see it until she gets it in the mail!

I masked off the colored stripes then blended HA pool, tide pool and lime green inks in the openings.  I over-stamped the sentiments in the same color (I rushed it, so the middle stripe wasn't completely dry when I stamped the sentiments so they don't stand out as much).  The sentiment is stamped in Versafine and embossed with a sparkle embossing powder. The black dots are jewels.
Did you notice I made the last line say 'amazing friend happy birthday to you'!

All stamps are from The Big, the Bold and You, and, The Big, the Bold and the Happy by the great Winnie & Walter.

Love, Honor, Cherish

I'm on a kick with Watercolor VersaMark Reveal, so this is another card with this technique.
I just love the subtle look of the soft colors blending throughout the sentiment.

Edited Aug 14th: So thrill to have received an Honorable Mention at Fusion Card Challenge!

ETA: This is a new technique to alot of people so here is an explanation.
Stamp your image onto Watercolor paper with VersaMark. Do Not Emboss! Just set it with your heat tool. I smooshed this card into distress inks that were spritzed with water on my craft mat.  The color of the ink gets absorbed more intensely into the VersaMark, revealing the stamped image.
See these other cards with this technique here and here(video).

I used a wood mount stamp that I've had since 1995 by Stampington & Co.
I've matched up the colors of the hydrangea's using Broken China, Peeled Paint & Antique Linen distress inks. The sparkle comes from the shimmer grey cardstock backing the panel, a few mirror sequins and a layer of clear Wink of Stella over the sentiment.

I made it for The Card Concept's Create a Wedding card (Clean & Simple).
The colors work for the photo inspiration for Fusion The Beach House. (I got married on the beach at our cabin at the lake so it has a wedding association for me!)
The bling works for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog Make it Sparkle. (I don't have any Neat and Tangled or Jane's Doodle products, but if I win I promise to buy some.)
