It's a Positive Negative.

I am playing along with 2 challenges today:
Make it Monday: Using Cover Plate Negatives
Muse Challenge #81  I did a twist on the chevrons on the muse card and tried to mimic the colors as they are so bright and cheerful.
ETA : The wonderful Anita suggested I join in at Addicted to CAS:code word Geometric so here I go! I'm away from home so trying to do this on my tablet. I hope I got the Addicted to CAS badge to show!

I'm trying to figure out a better system for taking photos inside on dull days! This isn't it, but getting closer I think.

Love, Honor, Cherish

I'm on a kick with Watercolor VersaMark Reveal, so this is another card with this technique.
I just love the subtle look of the soft colors blending throughout the sentiment.

Edited Aug 14th: So thrill to have received an Honorable Mention at Fusion Card Challenge!

ETA: This is a new technique to alot of people so here is an explanation.
Stamp your image onto Watercolor paper with VersaMark. Do Not Emboss! Just set it with your heat tool. I smooshed this card into distress inks that were spritzed with water on my craft mat.  The color of the ink gets absorbed more intensely into the VersaMark, revealing the stamped image.
See these other cards with this technique here and here(video).

I used a wood mount stamp that I've had since 1995 by Stampington & Co.
I've matched up the colors of the hydrangea's using Broken China, Peeled Paint & Antique Linen distress inks. The sparkle comes from the shimmer grey cardstock backing the panel, a few mirror sequins and a layer of clear Wink of Stella over the sentiment.

I made it for The Card Concept's Create a Wedding card (Clean & Simple).
The colors work for the photo inspiration for Fusion The Beach House. (I got married on the beach at our cabin at the lake so it has a wedding association for me!)
The bling works for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog Make it Sparkle. (I don't have any Neat and Tangled or Jane's Doodle products, but if I win I promise to buy some.)

May All Your Dreams Come True

Edited Aug 5th:  Thrilled to have won an Honorable Mention for this card!

Oh, this week CAS-ology Week 106 Rainbow is right up my alley!  I love rainbows!
I've also entered this card in Less is More Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps Anything Goes

I used a technique I call Watercolor VersaMark Reveal which I think is super cool but I seem to be the only one excited by it!  I haven't seen anyone else do it, have you?  You can watch my video on this technique (with a different card where I smooshed instead of painting on the watercolors) on my blog here. Or on YouTube here.

I stamped the large row of circles from PTI Polka Dot Basics III with VersaMark onto watercolor paper then dried it with my heat tool.  Then I smooshed out my rainbow of distress inks onto my craft mat, spritzed them with water and painted on each color with a brush over where I stamped the circles.  The VersaMark absorbs the color more intensely than the paper so the stamped image really stands out with multiple colors blended beautifully over it!
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Dandelion Dreams.  I finished the card off with a strip of black cardstock across the top and rounded the bottom corners.

If you like this card, please let me know by leaving a comment or following me on Bloglovin' by clicking on the link on the sidebar!  (I'm the only one following me right now!)

Tag You're It! Challenge #2 - I think you are pretty darn AMAZING

This is my second entry for  Tag You're It! Challenge #2 using the inspiration photo above.

I just had to use the negative space I had left from my first tag entry, so this is what I came up with.

I used vellum behind the opening as the tag itself.  I backed the opening with a white cut out of the PTI's A-Mazing die mounted on black cardstock.  Sentiments PTI A-Mazing stamp set.  I used Paper smooches Quotables die across the top of the watercolor paper.  The little heart is a punch that I applied glossy accents to and sprinkled a few microbeads onto.

Tag You're It Challenge - I Miss You

Here is my first entry for Tag You're It! Challenge #2 using the inspiration photo above.

I white embossed Hero Arts small open flower on watercolor paper before smooshing with distress ink in yellow, orange and red.  I die cut PTI Monthly Moments Instant Photo die 2 (I rounded the corners) from grey cardstock then backed it with patty paper (basically waxed paper that you put between hamburger patties - what can I say, I have very little vellum!).  I die cut around the flower using Wplus9 circles die and mounted it over the upside-down photo die cut out.  I stamped "I miss" from PTI's Phrase Play #3 and the "you" is trimmed from PTI's Wonderful Words Thank You die. I stacked 3 together and added a layer of glossy accents.

Winnie & Walter Share the Love Ombre

This is my entry for Winnie & Walter Share the Love Ombre using distress ink. I have managed to get a fourth card, despite only having the Big Bang Confetti set.  This card uses the solid circle cluster.  Sentiment is PTI.  I added some Inkssentials white enamel accents, though now I wish I had just stamped on more of the dots and white embossed them.

Winnie & Walter Share the Love Tag

OK, let me explain.  I have a friend who sometimes mixes up saying and says the most hilarious things.  Normally, you would say 'drink like a fish' or 'swim with the fishes', she would say 'Drink with the Fishes'.  She's the greatest, I would drink with the fishes with her anytime!

This bottle tag is for  Winnie & Walter's Share the Love Tag Day.  I inked out a few of the distress ink blues onto my craft mat, spritzed with water then smooshed the tag into it  a few times.  The second picture shows the W&W touch with the open circles (from the one and only W&W set I have so far) for some bubbles.  I added glossy accents to a few of the small circles.  The fish are an old All Night Media stamp called Fish Lips. Alphabet PTI.
