Nautical Happy Birthday

This week the Cue Card for CASology  and The Challenge is Nautical.  Luckily I have a friend who has a birthday in a few days and she is a sailer so this is perfect.  Don't you just love the name of her boat!

I don't have any nautical stamps or dies so I had to be creative.  Below are nautical flags that symbolize letters in the sailing community.  I made flags based on this alphabet to spell out HAPPY, added some string for the mast rope.  I had a memory lapse and forgot to put the 'breezy swirls' on before I attached my blue sky piece to the card so they are in deeper than I planned because of the extra layer.  If you every get the chance to spend time on a sailboat on a clear day I recommend it!  It's great to lie down on the deck and look up at the sky through the billowing sails.  That view is the inspiration for this card.

My Mac and my camera both went kaput this week so I commandeered (I'm sure that's a nautical term) my son's computer and he has different photo editing software than I'm used to and I'm not quite happy with the pictures.  If I get the chance I will try to fix up them up sometime.

Thanks so Much for Looking!
